We have received a serious complaint from a resident of Doonanore Park regarding unsafe and inconsiderate parking during drop-offs and pick-ups.
In recent months, there have been three separate occasions where ambulances were required for elderly residents on this road. Thankfully, these emergencies occurred outside of peak club times. However, if access had been needed during training hours, emergency vehicles would not have been able to get through due to cars parked on corners, double parking, and blocking access.
This is completely unacceptable.
Many residents in the area are elderly, and unrestricted access for emergency services is absolutely critical. Blocking roads, corners, or driveways, even “just for a few minutes”, puts lives at risk.
All members and parents are asked to:
- Park legally and responsibly
- Do not park on corners
- Do not double park
- Do not block driveways or restrict road access
- Allow clear access for emergency vehicles at all times
Please show respect and consideration to our neighbours.
