Volunteers Needed – Age Group Coordinators (2019, 2018 & 2011)

Cabinteely FC is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to take on the role of Age Group Coordinator (AGC) for our 2019, 2018 and 2011 age groups.

Our Age Group Coordinators are a vital part of the club's volunteer structure, helping to ensure that communication flows effectively between our players, parents, coaches and Football Senior Management Team. It's an opportunity to make a real difference to the experience of every child in your age group while supporting the continued growth of Cabinteely FC.

What does an Age Group Coordinator do?

The AGC acts as the key communication link for their age group, supporting team managers, parents and the club.

Responsibilities include:

  •  Being the communication bridge between Team Managers, parents and the Football Senior Management Team.
  •  Supporting Team Managers with non-coaching matters affecting their age group.
  •  Acting as the first point of contact for prospective new members interested in joining the club.
  •  Assisting with the smooth running of the age group throughout the season.
  •  Helping ensure that player welfare concerns are directed to the appropriate people within the club.

Supporting Parents & Team Managers

Our communication structure is designed to ensure that concerns are dealt with fairly and efficiently.

If a parent has an issue that cannot be resolved with their Team Manager:

  •  The Team Manager will advise the parent to contact the Age Group Coordinator, or
  •  The Parent/Guardian may contact the Age Group Coordinator directly if the matter remains unresolved.
  •  The Age Group Coordinator will review the issue and, where appropriate, request that the Club Office (office@cabinteelyfc.ie) arranges an appointment with the relevant member of the Football Senior Management Team.
This ensures that concerns are managed through the appropriate channels while supporting both our volunteers and our families.

Player Welfare & Individual Player Matters

Age Group Coordinators also play an important role in ensuring player welfare matters are referred appropriately.

Examples include:

  •  Player concerns
  •  Behaviour
  •  Attendance
  •  Development pathway
  •  Parent/player relationships
  •  Welfare matters
These matters should be referred by the Team Manager to the Age Group Coordinator so they can be managed through the club's established support structure.

Volunteer Requirements

As with all volunteers working with children at Cabinteely FC, successful applicants will be required to:

  •  Complete FAI Garda Vetting
  •  Complete the FAI Safeguarding 1 course
Full support will be provided by the club throughout the process.

Interested?

If you'd like to play an important role in your child's football journey and help strengthen your age group, we'd love to hear from you.
